This is an incredible story of bravery by a young student suffering with depression, anxiety, anorexia and a low self esteem. He found the courage to ask for and accept help and support and in doing so turned his life around. 2 years ago, I was in a very different place to where I am now. I was holding on to those last few strings that attached me to the past and I was desperately trying to forge a way forward.
I found writing a very therapeutic way of getting my ideas and thoughts out of my head; it brought me clarity. On this day 2 years ago, this is what I wrote and I haven't looked back. I am sharing my words here as it is just one of the techniques I use with my clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression or worry. The thoughts they have are holding them back from a life they want to live.

Clare and I first met 3 years ago as part of a life coaching group and remained 'friends' on social media. At the beginning of this year, Clare contacted me while she was at a very low point in her life and asked for help.
